big stories
in small places
We co-create inclusive, accessible theatre and creative experiences with and for children and families, shaped by their voices, experiences and ideas.
We make work that travels, that welcomes and that meets families where they are, both literally and creatively.
Whether it’s in a school hall, a rural community centre or their local library everyone deserves a front row seat and a story told just for them
At Spinning Wheel Theatre, our journey to co-create Five Little Ducks began with a commitment to engage young audiences through immersive storytelling. Collaborating closely with early years educators, parents, and children, we harnessed their insights and experiences to shape an interactive and sensory-rich environment. Our team conducted workshops and feedback sessions, allowing little ones to explore themes of curiosity and adventure. The result is a vibrant adaptation of the beloved nursery rhyme, where children actively participate in the narrative, fostering a sense of wonder and connection to the performing arts. Each element of the show, from the characters to the soundscapes, has been thoughtfully designed to inspire imagination and joy in our youngest visitors.
